Registation 2026/27
Registration will be open:
October 5th 12pm (midday)
October 18th - 12pm (midday)
Registration Fees are set at £30 per person, to help cover the costs of the venue, staff and t-shirts.
There is an estimated cap of 20 universities, depending on the number of participants each university brings! Registration will be first come first serve so please ensure you register quickly to avoid disappointment.
A waiting list will be in operation if we meet our capacity, so if a space becomes available, you will be contacted via email.
Similarly, if you need to withdraw your application, please get in contact with the admin team. (Please note: once invoice payments are received, we cannot offer refunds)
PAYMENT
After registration, we will be asking for exact numbers for your team so that we can send out your invoices.
ALL payments submitted after December 14th will be NON REFUNDABLE. We will be unable to reimburse you if members of your team drop out or your numbers change after this date. You will also be unable to add members to your team due to invoices already being released.
We are introducing a late fee this year, with it being £5 per head for the first month, and £10 per head after that. This is due to higher costs for rush orders and last minute change of details. We understand that student unions can be slow for reasons out of your control so we ask that, if this is the case, you keep us informed and we (at our sole discretion) can waive this fee, or carry the value of the fee over, as credit, to the next year you compete (i.e. it pays for some of the participants next time).

ON THE DAY ETIQUETTE
Steal the Stage does not tolerate any verbal or physical abuse towards our volunteers, technicians or staff. Any reports of this will result in immediate disqualification, a one year ban from our competition, and further action will be taken if necessary.
We understand tensions can run high on the day, but we are an organisation that prides ourselves in curating a welcoming, encouraging atmosphere of friendly rivalry and we expect the same in any attendees, whether they are participating or spectating.
Please speak to a member of staff on the day if you do witness anything untoward.
Stunts and Props:
If any performances use props (flags, batons, chairs) or stunts (tumbles, tricks, lifts), these must be submitted and verified by the Steal the Stage Admin Team by January 30th 2027. For props, this can be in the form of a picture or written, but for stunts, we request a video submission so that we can check that YOUR team can do the stunt safely.
If you haven’t had your stunts or props verified before competition day, you will be competing at a pre-determined deduction.
Music and Lighting
Music and Lighting cannot be changed after December 14th.
All lighting requests are subject to slight changes due to the capabilities of the venue and the lighting engineer. If any lighting is submitted late, they may not be followed due to time constraints so please ensure they are submitted within the deadline.
No blackouts are allowed during the process of the performance.
Please ensure your music is of a high quality, and does not include cheering from live shows.
Spectators
Spectators are more than welcome to come watch!
Every university will be able to bring spectators, some of which may be able to sit with you during the competition.
Once all participants have been confirmed, we will then contact universities regarding how many spectator tickets will be available, and the price.
Public spectator tickets will be available on our Eventbrite closer to the time!
